Make one customer response more useful.

Give customers clear, relevant help without adding avoidable work.

Illustrative example · no measured results claimed

The starting challenge

Use the fictional enquiry below to prepare a reply that explains what is known and asks for missing information.

A customer asks about an installation service. The service can cover design and installation. No price, availability or completion date has been supplied. The customer asks: Can you tell me what is included and whether you can finish before our opening?

A useful redesign

Map enquiry, clarification, draft, human approval and customer follow-up.

Make the source visible, keep assumptions separate and agree who checks the result before it is used.

Where AI can help

Try this instruction with the fictional sample in a tool you are permitted to use.

Using only the fictional enquiry and service details supplied, draft a helpful response. Separate confirmed information from questions we need to answer. Do not invent a price, date, guarantee or policy. Flag anything a person must decide.

The human responsibility

  • Does it avoid inventing prices or dates?
  • Does it ask for the information needed to help?
  • Would a customer understand the next step?

Evidence to gather

Compare completeness, correction effort and clarity. A faster draft alone is not a better customer outcome.

Limits to keep in view

Use fictional or approved public information for this starter exercise. Do not upload confidential, personal or sensitive business information. Do not use the output to make high-stakes or regulated decisions.

Stop or change the approach if checking effort, errors or downstream effects outweigh its usefulness.
